Resource Parent Curriculum (VIRTUAL)

We’re excited to offer the Resource Parent Curriculum (RPC) once again—an eight-week, evidence-based workshop designed specifically for foster and kinship caregivers who currently have a child in their home.

Developed by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), this curriculum equips caregivers with a deeper understanding of how trauma impacts children and provides practical tools for parenting through that lens. Each session offers space for parents to discuss a particular child in their care and try out new skills and tools that will reduce the stress of parenting a child who has experienced trauma.

This small group setting creates a powerful space for connection, shared wisdom, and encouragement from others who truly get it.

Takeaways for Caregivers:

  • Gain a trauma-informed understanding of the behaviors and needs of children in your care

  • Learn practical tools to reduce stress and strengthen your connection with your child

  • Build confidence in your role as a healing presence

  • Engage in reflective conversations about your current caregiving experience

  • Earn 16 credit hours toward your foster care license renewal

This is a grant-funded opportunity, which allows us to offer this valuable experience free of charge to participants. To honor the depth of this commitment, 80–100% participation is required.

Must have a child currently in your home.

16 credit hours toward relicensing upon completion.
