Donate In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations are an incredible way to make a tangible difference for the families we serve at Foster Village. Caring community members like you can jump right in to help equip children and caregivers by checking out our current needs and wish list items that are most needed to stock our resource centers.

We only accept brand-new items at our center. At Foster Village Charlotte, we believe every child deserves to feel seen and valued, and that starts with the dignity of receiving brand-new items during times of transition.

If you have new items to donate that are outside of what is on our wishlist, please email us at info@fostervillagecharlotte.org. We will contact you to let you know if we can accept your items and where they can be dropped off.

Used Stroller and Car Seat Donations Guidelines

While we prioritize new items, we do accept gently used car seats and strollers if they meet safety and quality standards. To ensure they reflect the same care and dignity we offer all families, please review our guidelines below.

Approval Required: All used donations must be approved by our team before drop-off. Email info@fostervillagecharlotte.org with photos. Please note the following requirements:

Condition: Items must be completely cleaned and sanitized and in like-new condition (no frays, permanent marks, or damage).

Expiration Date: Items must be within at least two years of their expiration date. If no expiration date is listed, the item must not be more than four years old based on the manufacturer's date.

These guidelines help us ensure that all items we provide are safe, functional, and respectful for the families and children we serve.

For all other gently used items, we invite you to join our “Foster Village Swap” group on Facebook! There, you can post items and coordinate porch pickups directly with foster or kinship caregivers in the Charlotte area.

Together, we can ensure that every child and caregiver receives support that reflects dignity, safety, and love.

Monica, Monthly Donor The Village Parter Community

“Our family supports Foster Village Charlotte because of the way THEY support families all over the Charlotte area. We love the way they respond immediately to tangible needs, but also build relationships, community and advocacy over the long-term. This non-profit is a bright light in our city and it's our privilege to be a small part of their work.”
