Village Bridge© is a two-session, customizable workshop from Foster Village Charlotte (FVC) that equips prospective foster caregivers with the tools, insights, and peer connection they need before their first placement. Co-created by foster parents, educators, and licensed clinicians, it’s what so many caregivers call “everything I wish I knew.”
Licensure courses, such as TIPS-MAPP, teach the basics. But when the phone rings and a child arrives, often with trauma, uncertainty, and urgent needs, caregivers need more real-world context, emotional readiness, and a support system they trust.
