Understanding The Impact of FASD

We’re thrilled to partner with Proof Alliance NC for an engaging workshop on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs), designed specifically for foster, kinship, and forever caregivers. FASDs are lifelong, preventable conditions caused by prenatal alcohol exposure that can impact a child’s physical, behavioral, and cognitive development.

This two hour, in-person workshop offers caregivers the opportunity to learn directly from professionals in the field, providing a valuable space to ask questions, share experiences, and gain practical strategies around:

  • FASDs and their impact on children and families

  • Understanding the behaviors of FASD

  • Characteristics of FASD vs other diagnoses

  • Strategies, interventions, and resources to support your child and community

Join us for this informative and interactive session to deepen your knowledge, gain actionable tools, and strengthen your support network. Childcare and dinner are provided, and each family will leave with tools and takeaways to strengthen connections moving forward.

2 hours certificate will be provided toward relicensing
