Grief & Loss In Foster Care (Virtual)

This three-part, closed support group is designed for foster caregivers and kinship caregivers navigating the unique experiences of grief and loss that accompany the foster parenting journey. Together, participants will:

  • Learn strategies to build emotional resilience.

  • Navigate the complexities of saying goodbye to a foster placement.

  • Share insights and coping mechanisms for managing these challenging emotions.

This group is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a foster placement—whether it was two weeks ago or two years ago—recognizing that grief has no timeline.

Session Schedule:

  1. Session 1: In-person (February 22nd)

  2. Session 2: Virtual (February 24th)

  3. Session 3: Virtual (March 3rd)

We ask participants to attend all three sessions to ensure a cohesive and supportive experience.

5 hours certificate will be provided toward relicensing for participants who attend all three parts of this special workshop.
