Join us in-person for Forever Family Support group on Sunday, October 19th! In partnership with Erin Nasmyth from Adoption Support Alliance this group is designed for caregivers who have adopted or gained guardianship through foster care. It is also open to foster parents navigating the journey toward adoption (post-TPR).
This month’s focus is Navigating Biological Family Relationships After Permanency
Building a forever family often includes complex dynamics with biological family members. Whether you’re managing ongoing contact, navigating questions from your child, or sorting through your own emotions, you’re not alone.
Here’s what you can expect to take away from this month’s conversation:
Insights into how biological family relationships may evolve after adoption or guardianship
Strategies to support your child’s emotional health as they navigate these connections
A supportive space to ask questions and share your story with others who understand
Practical tools and encouragement to guide you in this lifelong journey
As always, you’re welcome to bring up other topics or concerns during our time together—these themes simply help give shape to the conversation so we can make the most of our shared space.
Childcare will be available onsite, provided by our amazing team of trauma-informed, background-checked volunteers. If you plan to utilize childcare, please register yourself first—you’ll then be prompted to complete the registration process for your children.
We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation and a time of meaningful connection with others on a similar journey.
