BUILD THE VILLAGE

Steps to a Successful Drive

Your friends, family, church, business, or club could be the key to empowering life-changing support for our most vulnerable citizens. If generosity exceeds our operations, we extend resources to organizations that serve similar communities so that we can continue villaging well with others.

  • CHECK IN WITH FVC STAFF BEFORE YOUR COLLECTION, USING THE FORM BELOW, TO OBTAIN THE LIST OF MOST NEEDED ITEMS. WHILE WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR DONATIONS, IT'S VITAL TO OUR ORGANIZATION THAT WE RECEIVE ITEMS WE NEED DUE TO LIMITED STORAGE SPACE.

  • ONCE CONTACT HAS BEEN MADE WITH FVC STAFF AND DONATION DRIVE HAS BEEN APPROVED, CREATE A TIMELINE AND GOAL FOR YOUR DRIVE.

DECIDE IF DONATIONS WILL BE SHIPPED DIRECTLY TO FVC OR IF YOU WILL PHYSICALLY COLLECT AND DELIVER!

  • SPREAD THE WORD: INVITE YOUR VILLAGE TO SUPPORT YOUR DRIVE AND SHARE POSTS OF THE IMPACT OF DONATING!

CELEBRATE SUCCESS (DON’T FORGET TO SNAP A PICTURE SO FVC STAFF CAN SHARE!) AND THEN DELIVER TO RESOURCE CENTER!

I can’t imagine how scary it must feel for a child in foster care. To be even a tiny part of helping to make it less scary makes my heart happy!”

Support Families Experiencing Foster Care by Creating Donation Kits

These kits provide practical items and heartfelt encouragement during times of transition and uncertainty. Whether you're assembling them as an individual, group, or organization, each kit helps remind families that they are not alone—and that their community cares. You can pack each kit in any bag or package that fits the kit you are building. We recommend reusable grocery bags so families can repurpose the bag!
